Pumpkin Patch Cutie

Hello everybody! It's me again! I've been working on a scrapbook page that I am particularly fond of. This is my precious grandson. He was right at a year old in this picture and he is 4 now. Twist to a Christmas Card Basket Tradition.........

Hello my blogger friends! I'm so glad you stopped by. Today I want to share something with you that was shared with me probably 15 yrs ago. My best friend Diane, her mother asked if I save Christmas cards that people send me and if I did, could I share some with her for a project she was working on? Of course I did and in return she sent me a very nice handmade Christmas Card Basket.
Every year since then, at Christmas I always put out my basket. I use it for different things. Sometimes I put Christmas cards in it as they come in the mail, a basket for napkins, bread basket, or candy treats, you get the idea. Below is a picture of the one I received 15 yrs. ago.

Now every Christmas since then, I do the same thing. I ask my family and friends to save me their old Christmas cards. I then in turn make a basket for someone special that I have either met during the year, a friend, a co-worker or just someone I think may enjoy getting one.

Today I'm sharing with you, one I made and put a twist to it. I hope you like it?

1.) I make a template out of cereal boxes and cut it
out.
2.) trace the template onto scrapbook paper then cut it out and glue onto the cardboard template.(8 pieces for sides and 1 for bottom).
3.)Pierce holes around the pieces about 1/4 inch
from edge.

4.) make a blanket stitch around each piece with
crochet thread like picture below.




5.) Attach all pieces with ribbon or any of the many decorative yarns that are available out there.

6.) the finished product.
This has endless possibilities. It doesn't have to be Christmas. You can use all kind of decorative papers and ribbons and yarns.

Christmas Scrapbook.......

It's that time of year again to be thinking about Christmas ! Wow ! Has this year flown by? This is one of the projects I've been working on, A 6 x 6 mini Christmas scrapbook.

 I started working on some of my Christmas projects in July. You know we all talk about getting a jump start, well this year I did it !

 ...........these pages turned out really nice. I'm pleased with the way it came together..........I'm only sharing a few pages. I didn't want to bore you.

As I said in an earlier post, Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year. I love the colors, lights, and all the festivities that go along with it. Not to mention the true meaning of the season..........This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for anyone on your gift giving list !.........................I had a lot of fun making this mini book and I will probably make more for my Christmas list. Fall ! Fall ! Fall ! .............

Hello all ! It sure does feel good outside ! Makes me feel like baking (that gets me into trouble), cleaning, raking leaves, but most of all it makes me feel like working in my hobby room. I've been working on a few things like Fall, Christmas, and my daughter's wedding scrapbook. I have a couple of things I want to share with you.
First of all I want to say I'm sorry for being gone for so long. Just been working through some stuff in my life. I'm sure a lot of you can relate?

Here are some photos of a few things I've been working on..............I hope you enjoy them!

Fall is one of my most favorite times of the year besides Christmas. We'll save that for another day!

 I made this fall scrapbook with some friends and my sister in mind. We would always take a trip to the mountains in the fall because of the beautiful colors. So this is a book I can store those memories in.

I really enjoyed making this scrapbook along with a couple of others.But I think I'll save those for another time.

Altered Book

I'm sorry it's been so long since I last posted, I've had so much going on with family, working, moving and taking care of my grandpa. I have been exhausted, depressed or both. Well, I'm back now and my goal is to post something every week. I have a couple of projects I've been working on and here is the first one........... Family Altered Book......... I had so much fun doing this. I'm wanting to hurry and work on another one. I hope you like it too! I took a Bo Bunny Family Chipboard Book and altered it with ribbon, scrapbook paper, pictures and different embellishments. The pictures that I used were pictures that were not the best but I didn't want to throw them away either. This is a good way to spruce up those pictures that are not the best, but not the worst either. Hello and Merry Christmas to all! I'm sorry I haven't updated my blog in a while. It's been crazy around here and I'm just getting caught up enough to write something. This will be my last post until after the New Year. I want to thank you all for visiting my blog and for all of your support the past few months, while I was trying to figure this blog thing out.
