It's beginning to look like Christmas!

Hi everyone! Hope you all, are staying warm? It's already cold here in southern Georgia. If this is any indication of how our winter's going to be, we're in trouble! They are calling for freezing temperatures tonight! Well with the cold weather and the Christmas music going, it has certainly put me in the mood for creating Christmas cards.

This is my first set, all boxed and ready to go! What fun I had making them and the recipient was very pleased. That's what matters!

Thank you so much, for popping in and checking out my blog. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs Brenda

Masculine card

Hello there, everyone! I hope your week is going well and you are creating away.

I have a hard time with masculine cards, so I wanted to play around a bit and see if I could come up with one that I wouldn't mind sharing. Lol So, this is what I came up with.
This card is created with a light blue basic card base, layered with torn black card stock, a stamped rooster image in black ink on torn designer scrapbook paper with added twine and hello tag.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today! Hugs Brenda

Funky Friday!

Well, hello everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted, I guess you can say I've been in a crafters funk. Lol There has been so much going on around here, I just couldn't think straight. I know I'm not the only one who's ever been there, right? Anyway, I'm back and ready to play!

I thought, since I've been in a crafters funk, I would call this post funky Friday! So with the theme in mind, I created a card with festive and funky colors.

Thank you all, so much for stopping by today. Have a festive and funky weekend! Hugs Brenda

Bookmarks for a Christian Women's Conference.

Wow! I can't believe July is already on it's way out. This month has really flown by! I have been so busy, that I don't know where the month has gone to. I've been keeping my grandchildren through the summer and trying to keep them busy with fun things, cause I didn't want them to think staying with Nonnie ( that's what they call me ) was boring. Lol It wasn't boring on my end, I'll tell ya! I hope they have enjoyed them selves, because I have certainly enjoyed them.

I want to share with you today, bookmarks that I made for a Christian Women's conference. The theme was " Beauty for Ashes " So this to me, was a time for reflecting and cleaning out the junk in our lives and becoming a new creature.

On these bookmarks, I wanted to show that when we clean out all of the past junk in our lives, it allows new growth and also a new birth. This is something I still struggle with on a day to day bases. The flowers show new growth and the butterfly is an example of new birth or rebirth. God can give both.

Thank you so much, for stopping by today. I pray you all will have a blessed week! Hugs Brenda

All Those Five Petal Flowers...............A Tutorial

Hi everyone! Tonight I want to share with you, on what you can do with all those five petal flowers that we buy in bulk. We buy them and then think OMG! What am I going to do with all these flowers?
1.) Turn the flowers over so the raised side of the petals are on the bottom.
2.) Take the first flower and add glue to the center, then pull all the petals up and to the center.

3.) You'll need four more flowers to be able to make a full open rose.
4.) Every time you add a flower, off set the petals.

 5.) Add the last flower.
6.) After you add that last flower, it should look like this.

I hope this helps to condense some of the stash that's sitting around on your desk, like it helped me.
Thank you for the visit. Hugs to all! Brenda

Operation Overboard...............

Wow! What a fantastic weeks it's been. We are having our very first Vacation Bible School at our church. We had the best craft team you could possibly imagine, create the decorations for this event. I can't say enough about it. It looks wonderful! The theme is Operation Overboard for Jesus. I've been teaching the crafts all week and let me tell you, when I get home I'm done for the night. Lol........But it's worth it! Here are some pictures of the set up and decorations.

Now you know where I've been all week. It's hump day, only two more days. I must say I'm pretty tired. Lol..............I think the kids are having a ball! I know I am!

An Envelope Mini Album............... for A Friend.

Hello and Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well and you are looking forward to the weekend.
I have been working really hard on this project for a friend. I don't claim to be the best paper crafter out there, but I do hope I can inspire some of you.

I made this particular mini album for a friend, to uplift and encourage her. It's an envelope mini album with lots of places to tuck little messages, pictures, letters or even cards she may receive during this time in her life. I wanted to create this for her, so when she is well, she can look back on where God has brought her from and see all the blessings along the way.

Thank you for stopping by and checking out this project today. Hugs to all! Brenda

Ladybug treat holder

Hi everyone! I hope today has been a good beginning of the week for you all?

I have been surfing the web, trying to get some inspiration. I came across this on Pinterest and thought you may like it. This has great potential. It is shown here as an eyelet holder, but it could actually be a great treat holder for gift giving.

Eyelet Holder Ladybugs

I made these cute little ladybugs full of retired eyelets to give to my Hostesses and the first to place their orders for the July Clubs.  They are really easy to make and so cute!  You could fill them with jelly beans, M&Ms, buttons, ribbon, etc.
Just pull gently up on the head to pull up the Tag Punch body so the hole in the backing will be revealed to get the goodies in and out.
Circle eyelet lady bugs watermark
To make the ladybug you will need the following supplies:
- red card stock (I used Riding Hood Red)
- Basic Black Card Stock
- Sweet Treat Cups
- 1-3/4" Circle Extra-Large Punch
- 1-1/4" Circle Large Punch
- Extra-Large Tag Punch (formerly Tag Punch)
- Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
- Sticky Strip
- 2-Way Glue Pen (or Mini Glue Dots)
- SNAIL
- wiggly eyes
- pencil
- Paper Snips
- treats
1)  Punch a 1 3/4" circle in the middle of a scrap of red card stock.
2)  Place a Sweet Treat Cup on top of the punched scrap so the circle in the middle is centered under the treat cup.
3)  Trace the outside edge of the treat cup with the pencil.
4)  Cut out the circle.  You should have a thin ring of red card stock.
5)  Put small pieces of Sticky Strip around the top edge of the Sweet Treat Cup lip (not the back side which already has adhesive hidden by the protective ring).
6)  Remove the protective backing on the Sticky Strip pieces and lay your ring of card stock on the Sweet Treat Cup lip.  Press in place.
7)  Punch a 1 1/4" circle in the middle of a scrap of red card stock.
8)  Place the Sweet Treat Cup on top of the punched scrap so the circle in the middle is centered under the treat cup.
9)  Trace the outside edge of the treat cup with the pencil.
10)  Cut out the circle.  You should have a thick ring of red card stock.
11)  Remove the protective backing from the back side of the Sweet Treat Cup lip and lay your Sweet Treat Cup on the thick ring of card stock so the circle in the middle is centered.  Press in place.
12)  Punch out a tag shape from a scrap of red card stock.
13)  Punch two 1 1/4" circles from a scrap of black card stock.
14)  Insert the scrap of black card stock back into the 1 1/4" Circle Punch so you can see a thin edge of black card stock on the side of the previously punched out circle.  Punch.
15)  Repeat step 14 so you have two thin curving pieces of black card stock.
16)  Adhere one of the 1 1/4" black circles to the top of the red tag piece.
17)  Adhere the two thin curving black strips to the back of the black circle attached to the tag so a bit of each pokes up at the top of the circle.
18)  Adhere the other black circle to the tag to cover the backs of the antenna.
19)  Trim the ends of the antenna if desired.
20)  Repeat steps 7 through 10.
21)  Lay the thick ring of red card stock on your work surface.
22)  Place the tag punch over the hole in the middle of the ring.
23)  Put small strips of Sticky Strip below the tag and on either side on the red card stock ring.
24)  Remove the protective backing from the Sticky Strip pieces and adhere the thick ring to the back of the Sweet Treat Cup.
25)  Adhere wiggly eyes to the front of the head with 2-Way Glue Pen or Mini Glue Dots.
26)  Punch out 6 small circles from a scrap of black card stock.
27)  Adhere them to the top of the Sweet Treat Cup.
28)  Gently pull the tag punch out part way by pulling on the head.
29)  Fill the Sweet Treat Cup with goodies.
30)  Push the tag punch back in place.

Thank you for the visit. I hope this will inspire creativity in you! Hugs Brenda

Buttons, Buttons and More Buttons!

Hi everyone! I just want to take few minutes and share what my secret sister from church, gave to me. She gave me several things, from card stock, clay pots with sunflowers painted on them, filled with Lindor chocolates and an Air wick automatic spray air freshener..............But the most favorite thing was the button organizer filled with jars of buttons of all sizes and all colors. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I can't wait to play with them! Oh! By the way, did I tell you how much I love buttons? Lol

Isn't it neat? I just love everything!

Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share what I was blessed with from my secret sister!         Hugs Brenda

Good Friday!..........Round three of cards!

Good Friday everyone!.............What a good Friday it is, remembering what my christian faith is all about. Yes, I'm talking about my Lord and Savior dying on a cruel cross for my sins and yours.

I spent most of the day working on round three of the cards for relay for life............and watching the UpLifting entertainment channel on Dish. They were showing all Bible movies, and have been all week for Easter. What joy I have, in knowing I serve a risen Savior!

Thank you everyone, for stopping by! Blessings to you and yours! Hugs Brenda

Round Two of Cards

It's Sunday, and what a beautiful Sunday it is! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and probably most of you are watching the Masters Golf Tournament.

I just want to share real quick, round two of my cards for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Since I'm doing a mass production of these cards, I've had to keep it some what simple, but nice of course. The base of this card is embossed using the cuttlebug embossing folder, layered with a stripe of yellow and designer paper. I also used an ek success punched butterfly and raised oval punch out to give dimension, along with three pink pearls.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a great week! Hugs Brenda

Thinking of you card..........A great way to keep in touch.

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic week? So far, this week's going pretty good for me. I've been working on some cards to send to my sister. She's making up gift baskets for the Relay for Life survivor dinner, in the Polk County, N.C. area. It is a privilege, and an honor to be able to help.

This particular card today, is a thinking of you card. Everyone can use extra thinking of you cards, right? It's kind of a general card, letting someone know you're thinking of them, regardless the reason. So, I mass produced this card and had fun doing so.

Does this welcome Spring, or what? I had to use buttons! You know how I love buttons?

Thank you so much, for dropping by today! I pray your week goes well! Hugs Brenda

A Sympathy Card..............for a Friend

Hello everyone! What a great Sunday it has been, with a great service at church to a beautiful day outside. I hope your day has been just as good, if not better. I pray for blessings from God above to all my visitors and followers.

Today I created a sympathy card for a dear friend from church. I pray in some way, this card will let her know, she's in my thoughts and prayers.

The rose on this card, is one of the roses I created on the tutorial a couple of months ago. The three gems were clear, so I colored them with a sharpie marker. The dragonflies are punched out, then glitter glue was added to the center. The bow was created using the Craft Dee Bowz bow maker.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a blessed week. Hugs Brenda
