Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic week? So far, this week's going pretty good for me. I've been working on some cards to send to my sister. She's making up gift baskets for the Relay for Life survivor dinner, in the Polk County, N.C. area. It is a privilege, and an honor to be able to help.
This particular card today, is a thinking of you card. Everyone can use extra thinking of you cards, right? It's kind of a general card, letting someone know you're thinking of them, regardless the reason. So, I mass produced this card and had fun doing so.
Does this welcome Spring, or what? I had to use buttons! You know how I love buttons?
Thank you so much, for dropping by today! I pray your week goes well! Hugs Brenda

Happy Hello........Simple but Sweet Card
Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial Mini Book by Susan Cucumber, I posted a couple of days ago. I don't have the web page, but if you google it, that's how I found it. I thought it would be good to put on a scrapbook page to put extra photos or journaling. What do you think?
It's been so pretty the last couple of days, that I've been in the mood to work out in the shop. I noticed I was low on get well, sympathy, birthday or just happy hello cards, so I've been working to get stocked up. This card I'm posting today is just a simple but a sweet and happy hello card.
This is such a cute and simple card, you can create several of these in a snap. Those of you may remember I love buttons and I have tons of all colors, so I'm trying to use up some of my stash.
On this card, I'm letting the embossing folder do most of the work.
I used this small happy hello from Stampin-Up. I used yarn and a small flower punch to give just a little extra embellishment.
Thank you for stopping by. Hugs Brenda

Springtime Blossoms
It's Thursday and another week has come and gone since my last post. I have been enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having. The flowers are so pretty. The birds are singing a brand new song. They are thankful for another day. I also am thankful for another day of God's beauty.
Today I wanted to make a card that reflects my surroundings of the beauty and love that I feel and see.
I had the house all to myself, so I sat outside and had my coffee. I was thinking back when I was a child and how simple things were. My grandparents raised me in a small town just outside of Savannah Georgia. We didn't have much, but we had love and that's all that counts.
I guess the reason I shared this with you is, I want you to feel the love and see the beauty through this handmade card. This is truly a card made from my emotions. Thank you for letting me spill my guts a little. Lol! I hope this inspires you to think back to a beautiful time in your life. Hugs Brenda

Recycled Greetings............A Side Step Card
Hi everyone, I hope your day is going well? I have a new project I want to share with you.
I came across the instructions and tutorial on how to make a step card. I've done one before, but it's been a while and I couldn't find my instructions.
How to Make the Side Step Card.
http://www.shellysimages.com/side-step-card.html
This side step card that I've done, has a twist to it.
My aunt gave me a whole stack of new bought greeting cards. I didn't want to get rid of them, so I was looking for a way to use them. This side step card is what I came up with. My aunt's birthday was just a few days ago, so I gave her one of her cards back. She loved it! She couldn't believe it was one I had recycled.
I'm so glad you visited today. Don't forget to become a follower and leave a comment on the Blog Candy Giveaway page for a chance to win. Check it out! Hugs Brenda

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy New Year Everybody! I pray God's blessings for a Happy, Healthy and prosperous 2012 for you all.
I am certainly looking forward to what God has in store for me this year. I am so blessed with such good family and friends, that I really can't ask for anything more.
January gets me in the mood for snow! How about you? Now, we don't see snow here in Ga. except for a few flurries here and there. Lol...................But that doesn't mean I don't dream of it!
So I thought I would make this handmade card of snow and a cute little snowman. This is actually a twist to another card I saw in an old magazine I was looking through for inspiration, Scrap and Stamp. I hope you like it? Here is the recipe for this cute little handmade winter card.
Cream card stock base
Michael's open stock green scrapbook design papers ( background and trees)
Letter rubber stamps and sentiment of your choice
Brown card stock ( tree trunks )
Black ink pad
Glitter glue ( to put on trees )
Star gems
Snowflake punch
1" circle punch ( for snowman face )
draw snowman's face and add pink ink with finger to cheeks
As always, I enjoy the visits and comments. Come back soon! Hugs Brenda

Hey everybody! I hope your week is going well? Not only is this Thursday, but also three days until Christmas! Wow!
I've got all my shopping done. Now I can enjoy the rest of the week. Minus a few goodies I need to bake before Christmas Day...............................
There is another handmade Christmas card I want to share with you. This one also goes into the category of very simple, but pretty.
Like I said, with preparing for Christmas and entering a lot of challenges, I got a little behind with my handmade Christmas cards to mail out. Anyway, the recipe for this card is..............White card stock, stamped with blue snowflakes and a sentiment. I added a cut out Christmas tree from Bo Bunny design scrapbook paper. I used pop dots to give the tree dimension and a gem star on top of the tree.To finish it off, I added stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes, which you can't see in the picture, sorry.
Thanks again for stopping by. I'll be back on Christmas eve. See you then. Hugs Brenda
