Hi everyone! Welcome to our October Blog Hop. This is one of my favorite times of the year because I like the cooler weather and the colors of the season.
Our challenge for the blog hop this month is Halloween with using any bow type. I have to admit, this was a challenge for me. I'm not real big into celebrating Halloween. So with saying that, I hope you will like this 12 X 12 scrapbook page.
Please don't forget to visit every design team members blog and leave a comment. The rotation is as follows:
Amber
Brenda ( you are here )
Patti
Barbara
Craft-DeeBowz ( leave your last comment )
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy the hop! Hugs Brenda

It's Time for Pumpkins, Black Cats and Spiders
Happy Sunday everyone! Today is the second day into Fall. I love this time of year, when it starts getting cooler, the chrysanthemums are blooming and the pumpkins are out. I actually want to be outside more, this time of year. So in saying that, I thought I would make a set of Handmade Halloween cards.
These cute Halloween cards were so simple, I'll have a ton of these done in no time!
Well, that's all I've got to say today. Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to Have Fun!

Birthday Stash
Happy Sunday morning everyone! Today I have a handmade card to share with you that I made just last night. I was looking through my stash of cards and realized I was getting low on my Birthday Cards.
This is a pleating technique I have never done before. I have always loved seeing them on cards, but have never attempted to make one of these medallions.
I used my scor pal to put the pleats in the paper across the top and to make the pleats for the medallions I only used my scor pal for scoring my card base. I have never used it to make pleats. Don't ask me why! It's crazy I know! I have all these crafty tools and I never use them to their potential.
Like I've said many times before! I'm trying to get out of my box. I owe a lot of my venturing out of my box to my blogger friends. I see all of these beautiful things that you all have created and it makes me want to try and do it too! Thank you to all that have inspired me.
I wish you all a blessed Sunday. Thank you for stopping by. Hugs Brenda

Springtime Blossoms
It's Thursday and another week has come and gone since my last post. I have been enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having. The flowers are so pretty. The birds are singing a brand new song. They are thankful for another day. I also am thankful for another day of God's beauty.
Today I wanted to make a card that reflects my surroundings of the beauty and love that I feel and see.
I had the house all to myself, so I sat outside and had my coffee. I was thinking back when I was a child and how simple things were. My grandparents raised me in a small town just outside of Savannah Georgia. We didn't have much, but we had love and that's all that counts.
I guess the reason I shared this with you is, I want you to feel the love and see the beauty through this handmade card. This is truly a card made from my emotions. Thank you for letting me spill my guts a little. Lol! I hope this inspires you to think back to a beautiful time in your life. Hugs Brenda

Seeing Double
Well it's another Friday and the weekend is here again. I hope everyone had a great week? My internet has been down for a couple of days and I have missed a couple of days of contact. But I'm back now!
I have uploaded a couple of cards that are identical except for the color. This is a challenge that I came across over at City Crafter Challenge Blog http://www.citycrafter.blogspot.com/ and thought it would be fun to do.The flowers that I put on these cards are made out of a circle punch for the base, a pear punch for the petals, and a real small flower punch to make the stamen for the center of the flowers.
I really had fun doing this handmade card. I think I want to do some more of these flowers. They turned out really nice.
The background for this card was made with a leaf cuttlebug folder, sponged with dye base ink. White paper put in the folder then ran through the cuttlebug.
I hope I gave you some inspiration with this handmade card. Try it! It's a lot of fun!
Thank you for stopping by one more time! I do enjoy checking to see how many people stop by. It does my heart good! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs Brenda

Family is a Gift
Hello there! Here we are, the starting of another week. The weekend just flew by. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend ( most of us did ). I realize that not everyone had a three day weekend.
I spent my day today scouting and blog hopping trying to find some inspiration for a new handmade card or photo lay out. I came across a sketch that I really liked. This handmade card that I have posted today is from the sketch of Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I hope I'll be able to submit it to some other challenges as well. We will see..................I hope you all will take the time to do some blog hopping. There really are a lot of talented people out there that work hard to inspire those of us that need that extra boost.
With this card, I did step outside of my box a little bit. I'm trying to get better at not being so boxed in. Meaning I'm adding a few more things than I would normally do. I even worked with a couple of colors that I don't usually use. This is definitely a work in progress.
I hope this blog will help you as it has helped me, with experimenting with colors and shapes. You all inspire me, and in turn I hope I'm able to be an inspiration to you. Thank you so much for stopping by. Please come back soon. Hugs Brenda

New Technique
Good morning! I'm glad you decided to join me this morning. I pray everyone is doing well.
I want to share a new technique for me, with you. This is a handmade card using a acetate sharpie marker technique.
This particular card recipe is as follows....................
Green card stock base
layered with purple
layered with a design paper punched with a border punch
white card stock ran through the cuttlebug machine with the polka dot cuttlebug embossing folder
acetate ran through the cuttlebug with the leaf cuttlebug embossing folder
color inside of leaf with sharpie marker
ribbon and sentiment added
This is really a very nice handmade card. Give it a try. I think you will like the look of this card. The picture doesn't do this card justice. If you decide to make this card, please let me know how it turned out and what you think. Even if you do something different, let me know. We all share and help each other, right? Well anyway, I love popping in for a few minutes to share this with you. Take care and have a great day. Hugs Brenda

Let it Snow......Let it Snow
Here we have just a base card of ivory with windows of snowflakes. The turquoise card stock behind the snowflakes is on the inside of the card, where you put the sentiment. This is a new Martha Stewart Snowflake punch. You can dardly tell, but there are dark pink gems in the center of each snowflake. Rubber stamped snowflakes, stamped let is snow sentiment and ribbon. There you have it! Simple but very nice.

All that sparkles......... may not always be diamonds
It's Friday! Can you believe this week is already gone?
Well, I was doing some blog hopping to find different challenges to work on. I found a few I was interested in, and here's one.
The challenge is black and white with this particular sketch. The other is another color challenge using, black, sparkle, and flowers. I think I covered that! Don't you?
This picture really doesn't do this card justice, because it's not picking up the sparkle of the gems that I put on the flowers or the border.
I really must get a new camera with a higher pixel.
Maybe Santa will bring me one? Ya think? Lol.....
