Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed the tutorial Mini Book by Susan Cucumber, I posted a couple of days ago. I don't have the web page, but if you google it, that's how I found it. I thought it would be good to put on a scrapbook page to put extra photos or journaling. What do you think?
It's been so pretty the last couple of days, that I've been in the mood to work out in the shop. I noticed I was low on get well, sympathy, birthday or just happy hello cards, so I've been working to get stocked up. This card I'm posting today is just a simple but a sweet and happy hello card.
This is such a cute and simple card, you can create several of these in a snap. Those of you may remember I love buttons and I have tons of all colors, so I'm trying to use up some of my stash.
On this card, I'm letting the embossing folder do most of the work.
I used this small happy hello from Stampin-Up. I used yarn and a small flower punch to give just a little extra embellishment.
Thank you for stopping by. Hugs Brenda

Springtime Blossoms
It's Thursday and another week has come and gone since my last post. I have been enjoying this beautiful weather we've been having. The flowers are so pretty. The birds are singing a brand new song. They are thankful for another day. I also am thankful for another day of God's beauty.
Today I wanted to make a card that reflects my surroundings of the beauty and love that I feel and see.
I had the house all to myself, so I sat outside and had my coffee. I was thinking back when I was a child and how simple things were. My grandparents raised me in a small town just outside of Savannah Georgia. We didn't have much, but we had love and that's all that counts.
I guess the reason I shared this with you is, I want you to feel the love and see the beauty through this handmade card. This is truly a card made from my emotions. Thank you for letting me spill my guts a little. Lol! I hope this inspires you to think back to a beautiful time in your life. Hugs Brenda

Time's Almost Up!
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great week and weekend?
I had a chance to see some old friends I haven't seen in about twenty- five years. We had a good time just talking and catching up.
It's April 2 and if you haven't become a follower and left a comment, you still have a few hours to get your name in the pot,for a chance to win the Blog Candy. I will be announcing the winner on Easter Sunday.
Okay, now I want to share this card I made, using a few tools. This handmade card was a very easy card to put together, so I think some of you will like it. The recipe for this card is as follows:
5 1/2 X 4 1/4 Card Base in Kraft Card stock
Square Lace Corner Punch
5 X 4 White Card stock
4 3/4 X 3 3/4 Yellow Card stock
Large Dot Cuttlebug Folder ( for the yellow card stock )
Cuttlebug Machine
Black Ribbon
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Flower Rubber Stamp
The flower image is stamp in black onto a piece of white card stock that has been spritzed with water and then colored randomly with twinkling H2O's. Let this dry before you stamp your image. Color the image lightly with gel pens. It's all layered together and makes a very nice card. There you go, it's all done! I hope my directions have been clear enough? If you have any questions, just send me an e-mail.
Don't forget! You have until midnight tonight to become a follower and leave a comment for a chance to win the blog candy. Good Luck! Hugs Brenda

Seeing Double
Well it's another Friday and the weekend is here again. I hope everyone had a great week? My internet has been down for a couple of days and I have missed a couple of days of contact. But I'm back now!
I have uploaded a couple of cards that are identical except for the color. This is a challenge that I came across over at City Crafter Challenge Blog http://www.citycrafter.blogspot.com/ and thought it would be fun to do.The flowers that I put on these cards are made out of a circle punch for the base, a pear punch for the petals, and a real small flower punch to make the stamen for the center of the flowers.
I really had fun doing this handmade card. I think I want to do some more of these flowers. They turned out really nice.
The background for this card was made with a leaf cuttlebug folder, sponged with dye base ink. White paper put in the folder then ran through the cuttlebug.
I hope I gave you some inspiration with this handmade card. Try it! It's a lot of fun!
Thank you for stopping by one more time! I do enjoy checking to see how many people stop by. It does my heart good! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs Brenda
