St. Patrick's Day in Savannah Ga!

Hi, to all my blogger family and friends out there! Happy St. Patrick's Day to Ya. I live about ten miles from the Down Town Savannah Ga. area. You gotta love Savannah on St. Patrick's Day. There are people everywhere. It is all just Beautiful!

I remember as a child, being in the parade and how exciting it was. By the way, Savannah Ga. has one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the world!

Savannah takes St. Patrick's Day VERY seriously...growing up there it was always a day off of school....green grits....green water in the fountains...even green dye in the Savannah River. Back in the day going to the parade then a movie at the Lucas Theater and then lunch at the McCrory, Kress, or Woolworth's lunch counter....those were the days my friends.....
Well, I know this is a short post, but I wanted to pop in and share the fun with you.
The local news here, will also have a site to go to and watch some of the parade and festivities.http://www.wtocnews.com/

When it comes to St. Patrick's Day, we know that Chicago and New York are big names. But who would have dreamed that Savannah, Ga., hit No. 3 in Orbitz's picks for the top 10 St. Patrick's Day destinations? And with good reason.
