Rub A Dub Dub......Riley in the Tub
Happy Sunday afternoon everybody! I pray Blessings upon you all.
It's really cool and windy outside, but it's beautiful! This gets me in the mood to craft.
I sat on my porch having my coffee, enjoying God's creation, and I was thinking of all those pictures I have of my Grandchildren that I need to put in scrapbooks. So, I've been scrapping some.
I thought this page turned out so cute that I just had to share it with you.

The Bewitching Hour.........
Okay, this is the last post for tonight. This card was done for another challenge. I had to use the colors, orange, green, black, and purple.
This was really a fun card. I used a lot of tools on this card. I did a masking/sponging technique, and the tools were an embossing folder, border punch, and the Cricut machine.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Hope to see you soon!

All that sparkles......... may not always be diamonds
It's Friday! Can you believe this week is already gone?
Well, I was doing some blog hopping to find different challenges to work on. I found a few I was interested in, and here's one.
The challenge is black and white with this particular sketch. The other is another color challenge using, black, sparkle, and flowers. I think I covered that! Don't you?
This picture really doesn't do this card justice, because it's not picking up the sparkle of the gems that I put on the flowers or the border.
I really must get a new camera with a higher pixel.
Maybe Santa will bring me one? Ya think? Lol.....

Moments........
Here we go! This is the second card for the sentiment challenge, with no specific theme. The only thing is, it couldn't have a holiday or an event. I love the colors on this card. I also used a sponging/masking technique.

Friendships of Lavender and Lace...........
Hello all my blogger friends! Here's a card I worked on for a challenge on another blog. I really had fun making this card. Lavenders and purples are my favorite colors. I used cuttlebug, Martha Stewart, and Just Rite products on this card. I also used a piece of floral vellum as an overlay along with lace and lavender ribbon running through it. I have a lot of different colored rose buds that I have made, so I went and looked through my stash and found a lavender one to put on my card..............Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share this with you.

That tells you how far behind I am. I've got a lot more scrapping to do. I hope you like this page and most of all I hope it inspires you! Thank you for stopping by, see you soon!

Twist to a Christmas Card Basket Tradition.........
Hello my blogger friends! I'm so glad you stopped by. Today I want to share something with you that was shared with me probably 15 yrs ago. My best friend Diane, her mother asked if I save Christmas cards that people send me and if I did, could I share some with her for a project she was working on? Of course I did and in return she sent me a very nice handmade Christmas Card Basket.
Every year since then, at Christmas I always put out my basket. I use it for different things. Sometimes I put Christmas cards in it as they come in the mail, a basket for napkins, bread basket, or candy treats, you get the idea. Below is a picture of the one I received 15 yrs. ago.
Now every Christmas since then, I do the same thing. I ask my family and friends to save me their old Christmas cards. I then in turn make a basket for someone special that I have either met during the year, a friend, a co-worker or just someone I think may enjoy getting one.
Today I'm sharing with you, one I made and put a twist to it. I hope you like it?
1.) I make a template out of cereal boxes and cut it
out.
2.) trace the template onto scrapbook paper then cut it out and glue onto the cardboard template.(8 pieces for sides and 1 for bottom).
3.)Pierce holes around the pieces about 1/4 inch
from edge.
4.) make a blanket stitch around each piece with
crochet thread like picture below.
5.) Attach all pieces with ribbon or any of the many decorative yarns that are available out there.
6.) the finished product.
This has endless possibilities. It doesn't have to be Christmas. You can use all kind of decorative papers and ribbons and yarns.
