Toilet Paper Roll Mini Album

Hi everyone! Can you believe it?..............Summer is almost gone already! I hope you all are enjoying family and friends during this time and making lots of memories.

I've really been enjoying my grandchildren and it's kind of sad to realize they will be back in school soon, then I want be able to spend as much time with them.

Today I want to share a first! I have never created a toilet paper roll mini album before today. I had a lot of scrap pieces of paper and ribbon and a lot of this and that, so I thought I would put it to good use.

I have several bows in this album, all of the bows are created using the Craft Dee Bowz bow maker. If you would like information on or how to order this wonderful tool, please check out http://craft-deebowz.blogspot.com  Thank you for stopping by. I hope I have inspired you to be creative in some way today! Hugs Brenda

Time has come..............

Hi, all my blogger friends! I hope your week has gone well and you are enjoying the weekend? It's that time of year when I have to set my clocks back an hour. I hate this time of year! It takes me forrrrr everrrrr to get use to this time change. I didn't have a problem getting up this morning because the sun was shinning in my eyes at 7:30, but I guarantee that when it gets dark at 5: 30, my body will be shutting down for the night. LOL! Yes, Fall is here! Fall is my favorite time of the year, I just don't like the time change.

Okay, I'm off my soap box now! I do have a couple of Handmade Thank You Cards that I want to share with you. I got this idea off of Pinterest. These are very simple and I was able to get a few done in a hurry. I need to get them in the mail tomorrow.

I just wanted to share. I hope you like them and try to make a few for yourself? As always! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week! Hugs Brenda

Another Recycled Greeting

Hello everyone! Today I have another recycled greeting for you.

As I mentioned before, my aunt gave me a stack of bought greeting cards. I didn't want to throw them away, so I have come up with a series of cards that I will share with you on recycled greeting cards.

This particular card today is a birthday card using four of the same design greeting card. What I have done is, cut out different parts of the card and made it a layered 3D card. I also used my cuttlebug and an embossing folder from Stampin-Up for a background layer. I then stamped happy birthday onto white card stock and layered it onto some of the blue greeting card. I also used pop dots to attach it to the card so it wouldn't be flat on the base of the card. There are lots of layers, but very simple to do.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope this will inspire you to do some recycling too! Hugs Brenda

Day to Remember

Another Wednesday has come and on it's way out. Before I tell you about my card tonight, I would like to share some good news.

I have won another challenge! I am so loving this. I entered a challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/  last week and I won. I am so excited. I don't know what I've won yet, but just as soon as I find out, I'll let you know. I'm sure I'll like whatever it is.

Okay, on to my card. This handmade card, I made for my oldest daughter Jessica. Her birthday is the day after St. Patrick's Day. When she was a child, we always celebrated her birthday on St. Patrick's Day. Now that she's an adult, she can do the celebrating on her own now. I thought this card would still be a great choice for her, because it does have some green on it, and it"s not all girly. She never was a girly girl.  She was the Tom Boy type. LOL! Happy Birthday Honey! I Love You So Much!

This is a very simple but pretty card.
Card Recipe:
8 1/2 x 5 1/2 white card stock base ( folded in half )
5 1/2 x 4 1/4 front cover ( designer paper )
1 1/2 x 5 1/2 strip for top ( designer paper )
Ribbon ( glued to the right of top designer paper )
sticker ( mounted on white card stock ) mounted onto the strip of designer paper at the top.
Flower
white pearl ( for center of flower )
Happy Birthday stamp ( stampin up ) stamped on white card stock, mounted on designer paper, mounted on another piece of designer paper

There you go! You have a very nice card to give to any young lady or woman on your list.

Good afternoon everyone! I pray that everyone is safe from all the storms that came through. Let's remember those that wasn't as fortunate. Those that have lost family, friends, and also those that maybe recovering. Let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Well, last night I played around a little bit with my stamps and things that I had taken with me to my daughter's house. I still haven't unpacked my craft bag from the trip. LOL!

Happy Birthday

Hello Everybody! Happy Wednesday and all that good stuff. I have been surfing all the different blogs out there, trying to find another challenge to do. I think I found one! Or actually I found three! It certainly gave me a run for my time, when I started it. Like I said, I did this card with three challenges in mind. I used my crystal lacquer on the tiles, but it just dulled the image, I guess it's too old. I'm going to enter it in the challenges anyway. I still think it turned out pretty good. We shall see.

Sorry, but this is a quick post today. I have a lot to get done before the weekend.

It is so pretty outside, that all I want to do is sit on my porch and enjoy! It's bright, sunny, and just cool enough for long sleeves.
Please go outside and find some inspiration like I did. It will help clear your mind and be thankful too!

As always, thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Hugs Brenda

Family is a Gift

Hello there! Here we are, the starting of another week. The weekend just flew by. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend ( most of us did ). I realize that not everyone had a three day weekend.

I spent my day today scouting and blog hopping trying to find some inspiration for a new handmade card or photo lay out. I came across a sketch that I really liked. This handmade card that I have posted today is from the sketch of Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I hope I'll be able to submit it to some other challenges as well. We will see..................I hope you all will take the time to do some blog hopping. There really are a lot of talented people out there that work hard to inspire those of us that need that extra boost.

With this card, I did step outside of my box a little bit. I'm trying to get better at not being so boxed in. Meaning I'm adding a few more things than I would normally do. I even worked with a couple of colors that I don't usually use. This is definitely a work in progress.

I hope this blog will help you as it has helped me, with experimenting with colors and shapes. You all inspire me, and in turn I hope I'm able to be an inspiration to you. Thank you so much for stopping by. Please come back soon. Hugs Brenda

Wow! I really love this card. One reason is, this is my favorite Christmas flower. Another reason is, the story behind this beautiful flower, which in all reality is not a flower at all. Look up the story of the poinsettia. It will fill you with the warmth of the Christmas season.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday. Remember, keep those creative juices flowing!
